Text Auto-portrait. The first painting was made in 2012, and the second one was painted in 2016, after four years of living in a foreign land. “Through repainting one of my paintings which I have a nostalgic connection to; I am, as the subject/object, trying to paint myself back through the years that have gone. Through recreating the painting, I am retelling my story with the loss in details which the time offers.”
